Victor and Maddy

We are Victor and Maddy Ramirez, missionaries with Tentmakers Bible Mission working on the North Spain Project to plant churches in places with little-or-no gospel witness.

We have four children: three boys and one girl.

We’ve been missionaries in Fraga, Spain since 2019.

Call To Missions

After our first child was born, we moved together to Spain with the desire to serve God. We relied on His direction in opening the doors for opportunities to get involved in ministry. When we found out about a recent event to begin a church plant in the town of Monzón, we accepted the invitation to assist in the work there. After two years serving there, God placed on our hearts to begin another church plant. We felt the need for spiritual guidance and prayer support for our ministry. At this point in time we became missionaries with Tentmakers Bible Mission sent by Grace Church. We see God’s guidance and provision very clearly in these events.

 Victor

I was led to the Lord when I was a child by my aunt in Mexico. A few years later, my mother and I moved to Spain. When I was older, I rejected Christianity and believed that it had been forced on me. I rejected even the possibility of knowing if there was a God. I went back to Mexico to the house of the aunt that led me to the Lord. Despite being openly agnostic, she welcomed me into her home.

The work of the Holy Spirit, my early salvation decision, and the prayers of my family brought me back from rebellion. As hard as I tried to pursue my own dreams, my plans failed. One night I spoke with my aunt and uncle my doubts about Christianity, and they pointed me to Christ and the Bible. Looking for answers, I came across the passage of the prodigal son. At that point in my life, I related deeply to that parable. I recognized my faults and sin against God. I prayed and asked God to forgive me. He changed my heart’s desire to pursue a life dedicated to serving Him.

Wanting to know more about God and getting equipped to serve Him, I pursued studies in pastoral ministries. During my education, I interned at a local church, working with Spanish-speaking congregants.

Maddy

I was born and raised in Minnesota, United States. I learned about Jesus early in my life in Sunday School. Although I was little, I realized my need for a Savior, accepted Christ’s gift of eternal life, and asked for His forgiveness of my sins. Although I didn’t completely understand what being a Christian is all about, I grew in my relationship with the Lord over the years. He taught me what it means to surrender my life to Him in every aspect; the big things and the little things—not just my actions, but also my thoughts and purpose. Early on in my life, he gave me a passion for foreign missions.

I studied graphic design, with a desire to use it as a tool to share Christ’s love for the world. I’ve been able to use my skills in graphic design to help the various ministries we’ve participated in. During my studies, I met Victor. Later, we got married and moved to Spain. With a deep desire to share the gospel, we sought opportunities to engage in ministry. I currently help with the worship and children’s ministries at the church-plant and enjoy hosting groups and individuals at home. I thank God for the privilege to serve Him, and pray for His continued guidance in our lives.
